EnterWorks User Roles
- Business User – this user interacts with EnterWorks to load, view, modify, and extract data directly or through defined business processes (workflow).
- Business Administrator – this user manages some aspects of the data model, such as code sets, taxonomies/hierarchies, attributes, business rules, and the configuration of data accessible through the UI (e.g., Change Notification Rules).
- System Administrator – this user has full access to the servers in which EnterWorks and its components have been deployed, manages the file systems and logs, handles the starting and stopping of services, handles installations and deployments, and manages the databases.
- Solution Architect – this user designs an EnterWorks-centric implementation to meet a set of business requirements, including defining/identifying the data model, imports, import pre-processing that may be needed, how to implement identified business rules (VTL, Simple Rules, Callouts, Bulk Callouts, etc.), business processes (e.g., interactive workflow, automated/background workflow, widgets, custom widgets), exports, export post-processing.
- Solution Engineer – this user configures the implementation according to the design, including populating the initial data model (as well as maintaining it), implementing the business rules that can be managed through configuration (e.g., Simple Rules, VTL, Bulk Callout, pre-defined Callouts, Change Notification, Scheduled jobs, other configuration repositories), and implementing workflows.
- Developer – this user creates components via programming (SQL, Java, HTML, JSP, other languages) to provide specific functionality that may/may not be directly tied to a specific implementation.
