About this course

ETT 013 provided information on Stopping and Starting the EnterWorks services.  There have been new developments and understandings that refine the topic of Stopping and Starting EnterWorks services, including:

  •  The order in which EnterWorks services are imported - failure to do so can result in some processes not functioning properly.
  • Lingering processes after stopping EnterWorks services may interfere with their restart. A new PowerShell script can be called by the Stop Enterworks.cmd script to forcibly kill any lingering EnterWorks processes.
  • In low-CPU environments, such as DEV, it may be necessary to introduce delays between the start of individual services.
  •  Regular restart of services can be leveraged for log and data file management.
  •  A partial restart is only possible with a small number of services - a full restart is usually required to restart most services.

These items will be covered in detail during the session.

Prerequisites - ETT 013

Updated - 01/08/2024

  • Included examples of all stop and start scripts.  Added serviceRestartLog.ps1 script.  Renamed Kill Enterworks.ps1 to Terminate Enterworks.ps1.

Updated - 3/2/2024

  • Updated checklist spreadsheet and EPIM Start.cmd script
