About this course

This highlights changes in the 2020-05-14 deployment of the Services Framework:

Change Notification

  • Changed Transformation processing to replace all attribute references from the event record with the in-memory value if the attribute has been changed by any trigger, CN_Registry Update or Transformation processing for the same triggered event
  • Changed Transformation processing for push updates to allow multiple attributes to be updated by the same SQL query in a single rule (instead of one attribute per Rule)
  • Added CN_Create_Only to process the event only if the trigger record was created, providing an alternative for setting defaults
  • Removed the requirement of CN Attributes (CN_Attribute_Name) being required if the CN_Attribute_All_Action is set.
  • Added link displays to CN_Registry detail editor.

Scheduled Exports

  • Added attribute “Separate Files for Category Attributes” for Repository export to split the export into separate files based on taxonomy node so each file only includes the Category attributes associated to its records taxonomy node assignments

Deployment Support

  • Modified CompareEPXServerExtract.sql to include details on Work Item Types which are used as Submission Forms for launching or advancing work items in interactive workflows
  • Added BackupForDeployment.bat script, which gets copied to the <drive>:\Enterworks\bin folder on each server to which the Services Framework is deployed. This script will generate a date/time stamped directory in the <drive>:\Backup folder and copy all Enable 2020, Enable Server, EPX, and lib files that may be altered by a Services Framework deployment or by a Product Patch. This script should be run prior to any file updates (when the Enterworks services are not running)

Workflow

  • Added processing to ensure the EPX Server max file attachment setting has been increased from its default of 1KB

Prerequisites - EBU
