About this course

It is often the case, that EnterWorks is running jobs to import, promote, and export data automatically (not user-initiated). These jobs often process large sets of records automatically on a frequent basis, such as every 15 minutes, hourly, daily, or when files are dropped by other systems.
EnterWorks must also process jobs that are launched by individual users to import, promote, or export data. For most types of jobs, an EnterWorks Worker service is required to process them and there are a finite number of workers in each EnterWorks environment. If no precautions are taken, the situation where user jobs - even small ones - may not run for quite some time after being launched. This can have a negative impact on productivity, delaying publishing or syndicating critical product changes that must be expedited, resulting in frustrated users.
There are several strategies that can be employed to ensure user-initiated jobs do not have to wait a long time to be processed. This session covers these strategies in detail, including demonstrations of the ones not covered by previous EnterWorks Tech Talks.

 Prerequisites - ETT 066
