About this course

EnterWorks publications for In Design produce an output that can be loaded into an In Design template to generate print publications.  The templates for such publications define the field mapping for each taxonomy node, which may have completely different layouts and include different Category Attributes.  Setting these mappings up manually through the UI can be tedious and time-consuming, especially if there are many unique taxonomy nodes. Publication Merge is a convenient process that will generate the category-specific mappings in a Publication Template from a base publication template containing the global mappings.  It allows for a user to define the global mappings for the root level (of the taxonomy) along with the list of taxonomy nodes and Category attributes to be used in conjunction with the global mappings to generate mappings for each of the taxonomy nodes.  The user may also define explicit mappings of Category attributes at the taxonomy level for any of the mapping elements.  The merged publication template can then be imported into Enable for use in publications. This session provides details on how to configure and use the Publication Merge feature within EnterWorks.

Prerequisites - EBA 203
