EnterWorks - ETT 145 - How to Set up Complex Schedules for Scheduled Jobs

EnterWorks can be configured to run Imports, Exports, and Promotions at scheduled intervals.  The jobs can be scheduled in the following ways:

• Specified minute interval, such as every hour
• Specified day interval, such as every other day
• Specified days of the week, such as every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or every other Wednesday
• Specified weeks interval, such as every third week
• Specified months interval, such as the 1st of every other month

For the Minutes interval, there are also some options to limit the jobs to block out specific times of the day or days of the week.

There are some scenarios that the native Scheduled configurations do not support.  For example, a job cannot be configured to run on the last Friday of every month.  There are several techniques that can be used to handle any complex scheduling requirement that is not directly supported by the options listed above.

This session shows how to use SQL and a Scheduled Export/Import pair to configure a job to utilize a more-complex scheduling algorithm.
