About this course

Code sets can be created and updated manually through the UI by either interactively adding/modifying codes or by importing a file that contains the codes to be added or updated.  In a new EnterWorks environment and data model, there may be dozens or even hundreds of code sets that need to be populated.  This can be a tedious and time-consuming task to load the individual files for each code set.

Fortunately, there is a Scheduled Import Pre-Processor that supports importing multiple code sets from a single file.  This pre-processor can be defined on a Custom Scheduled Import to process a file where the contents of the file is the same as a single code set import file but having the first column identify the name of the code set to be updated.

Prerequisites - EBA 210
