About this course

Users can be defined in EnterWorks by an Administrator or by configuring EnterWorks to use Active Directory for authentication, or by configuring Single Sign On (SSO).  In cases where users are to be defined by an Administrator using the EnterWorks Classic UI, each user must be created manually.  If there are many users to be added, such as suppliers, customers, members, etc., defining them through the UI can be tedious and susceptible to user-error.

By using a special Excel spreadsheet, multiple users can be defined.  The formulas in the spreadsheet will generate the necessary Windows Batch script commands.  When the batch script with the added commands is run, a SQL script is generated.  When that script is run on the EPIM database, the users are created.

This session covers how to use the spreadsheet, batch script, and generated SQL to define EnterWorks users in bulk.

Prerequisites - EBA 213
